Our art classes for kids are perfect for children aged 8 to 14. They take place after school, every school term, from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM, Monday to Thursday.
Creative Exploration
During ten consecutive weeks, children will dive into various art mediums and techniques. Each session provides guidance through an engaging art process. Moreover, they will learn, create, and discover their love for colors, shapes, and textures.
Skill Development
By enrolling in our term program, students will develop valuable skills. For instance, they will learn to form new ideas, observe, draw, plan, and concentrate. Additionally, they will complete complex tasks while making new friends. Overall, this program fosters artistic communication, builds self-confidence, and creates a supportive community.
Typical Projects
Throughout the term, students will work on three main projects: a landscape, an abstract piece, and a specific subject like an animal or flower. Importantly, each term features different projects, allowing kids to enhance their skills using various mediums. This variety not only keeps the classes exciting but also encourages exploration and creativity.
Mediums Used
In our classes, we utilize a range of mediums, depending on the style of art. Students can experiment with acrylic and alcohol inks, acrylic paint, and even spray paints. Furthermore, they will have the chance to work with glow-in-the-dark paints, gel pens, Posca pens, paper collages, crayons, and pastels. This diverse selection enables children to discover their preferences and expand their artistic abilities.
Small Class Sizes
To ensure individual attention, our classes have a maximum of 12 students. This small size allows each child to receive personalized guidance, fostering a more intimate learning environment. While many young artists join for fun, some have successfully used their artwork to apply to selective creative high schools, demonstrating the value of these classes.
Fundamental Art Skills
Our curriculum focuses on essential art skills, including painting, drawing, perspective, and composition. In addition to these techniques, students will also learn about stenciling, color mixing, color theory, spatial awareness, and fine motor skills. All these elements come together to enhance their creative thinking.
Art Exhibition
A highlight of each term is our beautiful art exhibition. During this event, students can showcase their masterpieces to friends and family, celebrating their creativity together. It’s a wonderful opportunity for young artists to gain confidence and recognition for their hard work.
